Grown for its interesting balloon-shaped flower buds; best in morning sun & afternoon shade; slow to get started in spring so take care to protect it from enthusiastic spring bed preparation; long-lived.  To increase vase life when using as a cut flower, be sure to sear cut end of stem so that milky sap does not escape.
