Very early bloomers native to the
less-than-cushy conditions of Alabama roadsides; tough and attractive, plant
under deciduous trees where it gets early spring sun and protection from the
hot summer sun later; prefers moist, well-drained locations. Cluster of blue
flowers rise vertically above foliage. Blooming season is from
March to April.
