Phlox

A huge group of plants from the early blooming groundcover moss phlox (thrift) to the tall garden phlox of the summer border, and most sizes in between. Some varieties are a challenge in our area, mostly due to mildew but breeders are taking note and developing resistant or tolerant cultivars. All need adequate moisture for best performance, many are wonderfully fragrant.
