A huge genus many of which are useful in the garden; summer and fall bloomers. Many are attractive to butterflies and hummingbirds; will forgive a wilt, and bloom more profusely if grown on the dry side.

Characteristics: Attracts wildlife, bees and hummingbirds, heat tolerant, deer-resistant

Uses: middle or back of a border, cut flower, herb garden
