Sedum |
| Most sedums are known for their fleshy succulent foliage and yellow-to-pink or white flowers. As a group, they prefer well-drained, moist soils, although many are highly drought-tolerant. In nature, most sedums occur in light shade or partly sunny sites, while a few are also well-adapted to full sun situations. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

This plant can apparently survive to Zone 3, and that means -40 degrees F. Given that it can also take our summer heat, doesn't bat an eye at the Birmingham Water Works Stage 3 restrictions, and is a very attractive addition to containers and rock gardens year-round, what's not to like? |

| This mat-forming creeper is very drought tolerant. The blue foliage that creeps low to the ground is attractive in many settings. This sedum does not take well to foot traffic, but is beautiful as a ground cover. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

| Evergreen groundcover for both sunny and shady spots in the dry garden. In shade, the new growth often emerges upright and only lays down after it matures. This is a superb garden plant. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

| A wonderful Japanese selection with bright gold foliage that is somewhat viridescent (turns chartreuse) in late summer. The yellow flowers in midsummer are nearly unnoticeable against the golden foliage. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
