Creeping Thyme
A ground-hugging, low-growing thyme with dense, tight-fitting foliage; flowers occur in summer.  Makes a good filler in pathways and between stepping stones; tolerates light traffic; needs excellent drainage and will tolerate dry conditions far better than wet feet; foliage often fragrant when scuffed by foot traffic.

Blooming season: Early spring

Plant habit:  Groundcover

Uses: Beds and borders, container, groundcovers, naturalizing, waterside
